Gatherings Banquet and Events Center, owned by Anthony Carbone Sr. since 2013, has seen a lot of change in the banquet industry. With so many COVID restrictions and having to be close for a year, he has had the opportunity to remodel and beautify the whole building.

Carbone’s family also helps with the running of his business. Anthony Carbone Jr. helps with banquet bookings and planning, as well as taking care of his bar Town & Country Bar and Grille, located in front of the banquet center. His daughter Valerie Carbone is learning how the banquet facility operates and does her part to make the events runs smoothly. Both his daughter Nicole Carbone and print shop manager Julie Gaibis, help banquet customers with their invitations and other print items needed for their events at his print shop, On Target Printing (located at 1319 W. State St. New Castle, PA). He is also very grateful of his wonderful staff who has stuck with hi through it all. He says Joy, Jimmy, Patti, Marsha and Brooke are like family and he thanks them for all helping everything all come together.

Gatherings have the ability to accommodate up to 250 people with all-inclusive pricing and no hidden fees. Other places will often charge for security guards, cookie displays, bartenders or table linens. They don’t do that. They have an all-inclusive price and that’s it. With several different packages offered for receptions, their prices are not hidden, and they include everything for receptions, even a fully stocked bar.

They not only handle wedding receptions, where some couples have exchanged their nuptials followed by their reception celebration, but also graduations, class reunions, showers, holiday parties, corporate functions, sports banquets and bereavement dinners.

This year, Gatherings is looking forward to the return of their traditional holiday buffets, including Easter, Mother’s Day and Thanksgiving.
